Today I am going to present how TFLB (Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin and Blog) can be used effectively to promote your business.
Use Twitter
- To drive traffic by providing useful information with links.
- Monitor your brand on Twitter using Twitter Search Tool.
- In search results add all positive tweets under ‘Favorites’ and promote the URL to clients. (http://twitter.com/user name/favorites)
- Promote events using tag.
- Engage the audience by suggesting tool.
Once I mentioned in my blog about graders and said that I am selected as digitally distinct. Some of the viewers had tried the tool for themselves and shared their results with me. That was one of my happiest days as the viewers not merely passively read or viewed what I had presented but tried the tool and shared the results too with me.
- Establish a brand by suggesting useful resources
- Create a professional page
- Join groups / people relevant to your profession. Most of them would reciprocate.
- Promote web page by offering useful resources.
- Try to establish a dialogue with the users.
- Establish the professional page for your company, include company’s logo.
- Integrate company blog with the web page
- Establish branding by participating effectively through discussions and through Q & A
- Don’t use it as a media to directly promote your product or service.
- Provide valuable information to your viewers, encourage them to comment and respond to their queries.
- Promote your blog post through Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin. The various applications would enable you to link your blog posts to linkedin page.
Measure the effectiveness of your social media marketing by
- Determining number of followers in Twitter, fans in FB, connections in Linkedin and the No. of visitors to your blog.
- Determining number of times you have been referred and re-tweeted
- Finding the No. of times the company, product or service has appeared in search results.
- Calculating the overall effectiveness of your presence in digital world through social media using respective grader tools by visiting URL http://www.grader.com/
- Finally determining No. of visitors to your website through social media and determining how many prospects have turned to customers.
Do share your results with me.
